Mentoring
All mentors, regardless of program, are carefully screened in accordance with the safety standards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America which includes layered criminal history checks, reference checks, and interviews with trained professionals. Our mentors are also offered in-person and online trainings on an array of mentoring related subjects.
Community Based Mentoring
Volunteer mentors commit to seeing their mentees in the community two to three times each month for a minimum of one year. Case managers provide ongoing support to volunteers, children and their families.
Site and School Based Mentoring
Mentors meet their mentees at a designated site. Activities can be coordinated in a group during a specific day and time or matches can meet one to one during lunch and recess. Case managers provide on-site and off-site support to help ensure their success.
